São Paulo, September 12, 2011 – Rossi Residencial S.A. (BM&FBovespa: RSID3; OTC: RSRZY), one of Brazil’s leading real estate developers and builders, after a meeting of its Board of Directors today, hereby announces that the Company’s CEO, Heitor Cantergiani, is being indicated for a seat on the Board. His position as CEO will be taken by Leonardo Nogueira Diniz, the Company’s current Chief Operational Officer (COO).
The transition process, that has been going on for a few months, will be concluded at the end of this year. The initiative is part of Rossi’s Career Development program and also of its ongoing process to improve corporate governance.
Over the last ten years, Heitor Cantergiani has made an important contribution to Rossi Residencial’s growth and professionalization, as well as to the efficiency of its internal processes, putting it among the most admired companies in the sector. He will occupy a strategic position as an external member of the Board of Directors and will undertake non-executive duties, supporting the Board’s Special Committees in the business, finance, people management, strategy, audit, partnership and M&A areas.
With more than 20 years of experience in real estate, Leonardo Diniz has a degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) and post-graduate studies in Business Administration at the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV).
Throughout his career, Mr. Diniz has occupied positions in the finance, operating and commercial areas, having joined Rossi Residencial in August 2001. Together with Heitor Cantergiani, he led several important initiatives, including standardization of the product line, operational restructuring and the implementation of geographical diversification through regional offices.
