Group Rossi

Rossi Residencial is part of Grupo Rossi, which was founded in 1913 by the Rossi family, today in its fourth generation. The Group is one of the leading engineering, construction and development groups in Brazil, and throughout its history has contributed to Brazil’s development through actions that go far beyond engineering and construction.

Since its founding, Grupo Rossi has been known for the development of modern management and operational methods, the use of efficient construction technologies and for its constantly evolving expertise in all types of construction.

In those 30 years of operations in the construction and engineering business, the high quality of the Group’s technology and operations have been demonstrated by its involvement in some of the most important works in Brazil, whether as developer, or as administrator or contractor: the Arthur da Costa e Silva elevated highway (“Minhocão”) and the Praça Roosevelt square in São Paulo; the Joá elevated highway in Rio de Janeiro; the Itaipú Dam; the Carajás Railroad; the design and technical management of the Tucuri hydroelectric power plant on the Tocantins River in Pará state and of the Palmar hydroelectric power plant in Uruguay; the first section of subway in Brazil, located between the Santa Cruz and Praça da Árvore stations, not to mention many other important projects.

Rossi also participated in important national construction projects through Engemix, Brazil’s largest concrete manufacturer, which the Group founded and controlled for almost 34 years.

Its success in the construction industry in the 1960s and 1970s led Grupo Rossi to create and incorporate other companies. With the verticalization of solutions and the diversification of its activities, today the Group has 22,000 employees, of which some 2,000 are engineers.

In 1961, Grupo Rossi launched its operations in the real estate industry, and as a result of the growing demand for residential units, in 1980 it created Rossi Residencial.
